Four-in-One White Pearl Necklace

I present you my four-in-one pearl silver necklace, a series of fresh water pearls, silver shade swarovski, faux pearls, and a hand-forged silver infinity symbol.  This is a jewelry for you who are a bit indecisive.  Doesn't everybody is a bit of a that somehow?

Why you ask. Because with one necklace you can have four way of wearing it, depends on (most of the time) the mood or your dress.

A Y-shaped necklace for a vintage look. The longer necklace match perfectly with a low-cut dress.  Or something that is worn closer to the neck for you who  prefer it that way.

It's all yours.

The hand forged infinity shape that rhymes its meaning with tying the knot, till death do us part, and forever.  I wore some of the jewelry I made on my wedding and regreted why this idea didn't came early.

I had fun making it, and had more fun taking photos with it, just me, my camera, and the summer sunshine. This reminds me of being a bride all over again (minus the headache organizing it).

There is a pair of earrings that goes with it, but if you wear the Y necklace style, I recommend to have the earrings rather short, just an idea.

Enjoy your weekend! Do something silly before the fall arrives! kisses

Champagne Cork Magnet

Say you have couples pairs of stud earrings you wear interchangingly everyday, of course the best way to organize your fashion jewelry is to store it in a cabinet or drawer, but you just bought this new pair and you want to be able to see them everytime you have a chance to (just like a new boyfriend right).

Here goes a solution:  cut horizontally an inch out of an old champagne cork and glued a magnet behind it. It'll hug tight almost any metal object at your home.  Then for the jewelry, do what I did on the above and below photos.  I don't recommend the fridge though, imagine them rubbed off with a sticky raw meat or who knows your kids accidentally spill a soda everywhere.

While D recycled his old dell, I recovered the two metal covers and transform it into a magnetic board.  I talked about one of them here last time, and the other one is refurbished into a jewelry display. I might need to dress it with some nice fabrique someday, but for the moment I fancy its industrial edge.

Freshen Up my Home and Recycle

I spent the last two days freshening up our apartment.  Obviously we have too much junk that can't wait to meet their friends at the recycle bin.  Letting go stuff is hard for us, I don't deny that I love collecting junks. But thanks to our small living space that force us to recycle and, if we can't help it, to hoard smartly so we don't make our home looks like pack rat's chateau.

After a long hours throwing away, sniff, stuff. I reward myself with a modest and fun working corner. I reused an old computer case as a magnetic board.  D made a wire out of an old metal stick we have from demantling a separator between our room and the living room and forged it into an over the door coat hook, I reused it to hold my notebooks and scrap papers.  It is practical and since it is hanged, it really save a lot of space.  And finally you've noticed a rattan compartment, and an old whiskey bottle case made out of tin to organize the stuff thats normally hangs out freely on the table.

Do you remember this little bud from my moss terarium?  Well it is growing into the plant in the violet vase right now.  With a blush line highlighting the edge of the leaves, the bud might look more attractive and cuter, but I can't deny how much proud I am to see it is growing so big and bunch.

Well hope you are motivated to do something around the house this weekend, or is it too gorgeous outside to stay inside? Whatever you do, please smile like this little bud that's too happy to see the world.

Fresh Air, Sunshine, Sweet Candy

Our bathroom renovation project is still going on.  After preparing the walls and left it off for a more than a month vacation (I can't really complain for this), D and I picked up the project last weekend, and now the tiles are nicely installed around the tub.  But we were so amateur that we didn't clean up after grouting but leaving it dry. 24 hours after, we found ourselves climbing the brand new tiled walls with a sponge soaked in hot vinegar on the left and the tail of an old toothbrush on the right hand working as hard as possible scraping off the overposed joints. oh yeah.

It could have been a beautiful day.  The sun was up, we arrived at Parc de Bercy at noon, found a big tree, got installed, and unwrapped a chorizo sandwich I prepared at home.  Sprinkles of rain didn't even bother us at all as we were protected by the tree.  The beautiful date finished at the frogpub at the bercy village. We hung out at the covered patio looking at the parisian walking back and forth the village, the rain never stop them from being gorgeous.

I couldn't stop sneezing the day after, it might be the mix between soaked by the rain and working too hard on the walls (D works five times harder than I did, but hei I am a girl) If not, it could be the product of me leaving yoga behind two years ago. I should get myself together on working out really.

Yesterday, after feeling better, I had so much passion to restart what I left off last week, I made two big necklaces but this time I will just talk about one. Pink and nude statement necklace It's even already up on etsy.

This time it is different from the stackable tiny little collection.  Still with bunch of color though.  Voilà after finding a couple of smooth-polished fibered citrine from the turquoise necklace I made a long time ago, faceted hexagonal rutilated quartz, smooth round cut watermelon quartz, saying hello to the peach baroque fresh water pearl I've been saving for a good designing occasion, and thinking about a white muslin shirt with a low cut.  In short: fresh air, sunshine, sweet candy.  I wonder if it is still summer where you are at?

Another one would have to wait until I have more time to reveal. But in the mean time, an everyday collection that worth peeking... All season black Y short necklace, silver long necklace with offwhite seed beads and swarovski opal, and lastly my favorite, the hand forged dangling earrings.

They probably will be up in the store soon next week.  Enjoy your weekend!
