Merry Christmas!

Hello! I came to share what I've prepared for our guests on Christmas dinner. Well, the ambiance I mean. D did all the cooking, while I spent more than a week thinking about which lights goes where...

Friday morning we went to the street market and decided to buy two bouquet of roses.. I thought I'd love the long stems but it seems to me the little roses suits our apartment better..

The little apples are real but they are just for decoration.

I found it difficult to throw away the bottle of a dessert wine D opened for my birthday last year and finally I reused it to hold the driftwood (or almost) branch. Yeah, it's winter, and even a bottle have a right to tug itself in a good warm scarf.

For a couple of days I was so obsessed in making those little ornaments and snowflakes..

Me looking almost too proud.  D said it seems like I am getting ready for a Christmas light competition.

a glimpse of my eco christmas tree..

And finally, the christmas tree! I find it sad to use a real pine tree to celebrate one night and throw it away the day after, and I hate how the fake christmas tree look like, and plus we don't have a lot of space to welcome one of those.  Anyway, I've construct one with three branch of bamboo, a garland, and a ballchain.

Merry Christmas everyone! Don't eat too much like us... kisses!

Handmade Christmas Card

It's not too late to send a christmas card, I think. Here goes the full pictures of the sneak peak of Counting down to Christmas.

I spend (too much of) my time making christmas card. There is something about paper goods that I love.  The two dimensional design, the real cut and crop, this activity brings me back to elementary school..  Some of these cards are sent along with the handmade jewelry on etsy on my store.

Except for the white paper and the seed beads, the rest of the materials are made out of a recycle paper. I crop from the text on the flyers, magazines, catalogs, and newspapers.  You too can make gorgeous stuff like this, just cut and stick :)

Le Marché de Noel With My Girlfriends

The Christmas is HERE! not yet, but at the Champs Elysées is.  The christmas lights are installed correctly.  Last weekend it was our window shopping time with my girlfriends at The Marché de Noel.  Literally it translates as Christmas Market, and it's about a bunch of vendor hut installed along the boulevard of Champs Elysées.  The product was just like the ones we saw last year, but this time it is more special because I am not alone to see the paper lampions, the candles, smell the handmade soaps, and secretly sampling out the christmas candies...

here is us, three.. Four with the photographer but he is busy behind the camera.  Coucou les filles!

Walking can be too exhausted, this is a good reason to grab a petit churros (which is not petit at all!) I thought that it'd just going to be one 30 cm length churros, but instead there were 5 of them.

On est très tranquille devant la bouffe!  (We behave so well in front of the food!)

Simone was crazy about the crêpes.  And everybody get a cup of hot wine.

We went home around midnight, the night is out but the marché de noel still packed with people..

Have a good weekend and don't forget to cover yourself up.. it's cold!!! brrrr

Vitrines de Noël du Printemps Haussmann

Chanel dominates the world this Christmas. Yeah, it's about time to admit their fame. The product is way too expensive for me, but that doesn't stop me from adoring these japanese dolls on Printemps' windows.  All the complete review and more gorgeous photos on Ykone by Richard Bridgman.

Enjoy your Wednesday!

Christmas Doodle

With the black friday and cyber monday special on etsy, the days went so fast. In one point, it's GREAT, in another point, it's sad that I had to somewhat abandon the blog.  But I'm here!!

In the middle of last week I was so prepared with things I wanted to share to you.  Until thursday, we found out that D's mum would came to visit us in order to take care our ill aunt for a couple of weeks.  I was excited to meet the woman who carried D in her womb for nine months for the first time.  But at the same time, I admit that I was nervous.  Well, well, but after three days, things went great.  She constantly has funny stories to tell, and my favorite ones,  of course, was about D's mischiefs when he was a boy.

So anyhow, here are the things I've doodled for christmas.  I took red and green water color, a chinese paint brush, two big piece of white paper, divided into 4 with pencil, start dotting, and cut the paper into four.

The first and the second one is my favorite, the rest is not too much. However, I have put this doodle behind  my orange long necklace and the result has made me happy...

Which one of the doodle you like?
