Still on Posing Like a Real Model

It is only fair if I model for my own jewelry. I did! Before our voyage to Indonesia we decided to pay visit to our favorite museum.  At the beginning, we just wanted to visit the work of Jean Michel Othoniel for it was his last day of exhibition, but I brought the jewelries anyway just in case.  So there we were at the top floor of the building looking at Paris.  The weather couldn't be better that day and the museum knew it.  They let a couple of windows open to welcome the cool soft wind.

I was so proud of my new pair of shades that I bought cheaply at H&M, unfortunately that very day was the last time I wore them.  We went to brocante and I drop it off somewhere along the antique stalls along the Père la Chaise.

There are of course a couple of experiment photos but I am not sure to show it off here in the blog, maybe later.  In all case, Dinh takes better photos than me, unfortunately I don't have the patient that Simone has.

Simone's Photo Session

We started off with Simone's favorite outfit as it is posed here, we took an 'introduction' snapshot in her apartment, unfortunately the window is facing to the east while that afternoon it seemed too cloudy to take great photo.  So we decided to go outdoor and the choice goes to Square René le Gall.  It was much better, but even that the sun couldn't stop teasing us the whole day that day.  Sometimes it charged up so hot and strong that we should go to the shadow.  Often times it is not enough... Finally, I am pretty happy with the result.  Here are my favorite captures.

the last one is the winner of all, if you are interested in the necklaces Simone wore, they are available for you here. So, what do you think?

Sneak Peak of Yesterday's Photo Session with Simone

Yesterday me and Simone did our girly time. At the beginning she was just there to model for my bijoux, but things went out of control, we spent more time that we planed. We had our make up sessions, private fashion shows, a grand moment of giggling, and, to make everything so perfect, we finished things off with shopping therapy!
Here goes a sneak peak of my model Simone, she is having fun with her new sweaters and my funky chunky tribal necklace.

Weaving Pendant

Eh oui, the vacation is over. Even if I can, if I am wise, I should not go whine about it. Full two months are long enough to make you feel guilty of eating good stuff, miss working, and go back to wishing that life goes forever like it. Anyway, true that my stubborn brain is sulking on me at the moment, fortunately I found the beautiful pendants I made before I went on vacation last June. At the beginning I was just trying to find a way to weave silver wire and see how it look.  Not sure if I surpass this skill yet, but even with the beginner, I find it very pretty. Don't you?

It will hopefully be posted on my etsy shop soon.  As the creator, or designer, I definitely have a right to choose my favorite, consequently, my choice goes to the round forth image. Enjoy your day!!

Belitung

I am back in France.  Here goes according to my lense of the three days of visit to the island where my parents were born.  One of the most important three days of our two months vacation in Indonesia.  The no-tourist beaches, bite-size crabs, village chickens (freely translated from "ayam kampung"), self-service coconuts from the trees...
How Tanjung Pendem looks in the morning, where my great grandmother collected hundreds of small crabs to feed her ducks.

This is the front porch of my dad's childhood.

Home made fish chips, conveniently posed at the front porch of almost every house in Belitung.

Taking care of a baby sister while their mother is at work.

me, capturing the priceless view!
